Yes they are for most. Their are ppl that legit need them. But the number of ones that do are a fraction of the numbers that a prescribed that crap.

Is it beneficial/necessary for some? Absolutely
I agree there are some legit cases. Like maybe 10-15% of people being treated I'd guess actually need medication. But everyone thinks they're one of the "real" cases that needs medicine. And the vast majority of them just have poor coping and time management skills.

My stepmom is a doctor of psychology. Her solution to me not wanting to do homework (like damn near every other kid out there) was getting me put on Adderall 30 XR once a day at 8 years old, even though I had A’s and B’s before it. Was on it from 8 til 17 or 18. Hated every damn second of it. Made me a nervous wreck, hesitated when I talked, had huge calves because I constantly bounced my leg from nervous energy. Bad thing is she has my 15 year old little brother taking it now. Couldn’t pay me to take that poison again. The doctors that push this medication on young kids should have their license taken away.

I thought the same thing until I got on ADHD meds in my early 20s. I grew up in a typical Louisiana household that believed in (appropriate) corporal punishment. I wasn't abused or traumatized, but the threat of my dad's belt definitely helped keep me in line.
As I got older, I noticed I couldn't remember things or learn new stuff as easily as I could when I was a teen. I went to a psychiatrist, asked to try some medication, and it made a world of difference. I was able to focus again. I had motivation to do things. It was like wearing glasses for the first time.
ADHD meds don't make your (not you specifically) sister gay or your son depressed. Your sister is gay because all women are a little gay, and your son is depressed because he's 12.

Turnaround season is almost over. Pretty soon all the guys will be back where they came from and the adderall will be back in the pharmacy. Until then we gotta get these plants back up and running so adderall and energy drinks it is!
