Wife had a 2011 mdx that we just traded in for a suburban. I really liked that car. Didn't have to out it in the shop once. Great gas mileage and resale value was a pleasant surprise.

Honda Pilot redesign looks too much like a minivan for her. We are ditching a mini, pilot, highlander and pathfinder look too much like a mini for her now. Unfortunately, we still need a 3rd row, but only on road trips. No car seats to deal with either.

quote:notorious issue for acura, as it happened to my 06 TL as well. went on a weekend trip with my wife's car (which coincidentally is a 2014 MDX), and when we came back, my car literally had no power. this issue was because of the hands free tech practically draining the battery if you're gone for a while.
For instance, the hands free unit was draining the battery and if you didn't drive it for a day it would be dead the day after. The Acura dealership just wanted to charge me for a new battery. I find out later that this was a known issue. I was toward the end of my extended warranty and felt they were kind of dishonest.
took it a shop and they ended up disabling it, as there really was no need for me to still have it activated, and per talking to acura, disabling it really wouldn't affect anything else in the car.
it's a retarded problem to have though.

They're all vans. It's literally what they are. A two door S10 Blazer was an SUV, anything with three rows of seats is a van.

Not CRV, but what you would pay for an MDX, you could pay much less and get a loaded Honda Pilot Touring Edition. Much more room with The belles and whistles. We just got 2013 at a great price with the certified program.

Wife likes the MDX as well. She refuses to get the Pilot because it looks like a minivan.

Wife has 60K miles on hers..... Loves it.
Just took it to a parade last night. Still drives well with plenty of acceleration and great handling (get the AWD). We love it.
We bought at Walker Acura. No problems with them.
No, it is not a minivan. Yes, it feels, rides and drives better than a Honda. Resale is high, too.
Good choice.

Great car. Great reliability and Acura Customer service is bar none.

save yourself 20k and just get a honda
I hate people that always respond with "get a Honda or Toyota" in every thread about a luxury car. My wife and I just bought a midsize suv, and while the crv was a great value, it was absolutely hideous and we opted for a Volvo that was 10k more but far more luxurious and aesthetically pleasing.
A car is used multiple times per day, every day. Why spend $30k on something that's just bland when you can spend 40-45k and LOVE driving it every day? At some point, money is meant to be spent.
I have no issues with anyone that drives a Honda or Toyota, I just have issues with those who look down on those that enjoy luxury.

Goodson Acura in Dallas.... But I had that dealership fighting for my business with David McDavid in Plano.
John eagle in houston has really good prices, but they're almost non negotiable (like car max lol).
Your pretty safe buying a CPO car online or over the phone because it goes through 200pt look over and if anything is wrong they have to fix it. I paid an extra $1800 and have a 7yr 100k warranty.

A car's job is to get you from point A to Point B. Put down your golf clubs and wine and get real.

And a supermarket is designed to provide food for people to buy...... I just happen to prefer Target and Whole foods over Walmart...... To each their own.
I don't care if people want a Honda instead of an Acura or Toyota instead of Lexus, but don't chastise us who choose to spend more.

So by the same logic, a trailer home provides the same roof over your head as a single family house, so nobody should buy a house we can all live in a trailer hitched to our Honda CRV.
