You must be a serious OT Baller if you're paying enough federal income taxes to feed a bunch of people.

But actively rooting for food stamps and WIC benefits to expire next month seems pretty heartless and questionable, WIC especially...
Don't care.
The idea that government should be there for anything other than securing individual and property rights is why we're saddled w/ this behemoth in the first place.
Is it going to suck for a lot of people? Yep. But, they are humans. They'll adjust. Also, these welfare recipients are the fattest cohort in America, so let's not pretend it's been great for them.

When could you get fast food? They're cutting out sodas, candy and energy drinks next year.
There’s seven states, IIRC, that allow you to use SNAP to buy hot prepared food if you meet a requirement like being “disabled” or homeless.
Dems have tried in the past pushing through a bill that would allow anyone with SNAP to buy prepared hot food.
You can already use SNAP to buy things like cold sandwiches.
EBT is a completely different thing, you can use it for anything from buying a burger to bailing your homie out of jail.
There are areas where soda is used as currency, poor areas of Appalachia in particular. People buy a few cases of soda, trade them back in for pennies on the dollar cash, and the store owner just keeps selling the same cases of soda over and over.

Usually it’s, Grandparents taking care of grandkids that get it, and women with no baby daddy receive it for two years (unless after two years they miraculously conceive a child by themselves again with no father)

If you don’t have anything to say it’s ok to say nothing.

Unfortunately, if this does happen, stores will basically lock down. There’s going to be so much theft they’ll only allow a few people in at a time.

So, like at a deli or something. I was thinking people were rolling up to McD's using food stamps?

Who pays attention to what other people buy, or how people pay, at the grocery store? Unless I'm having to wait in line for a self check register, I'm going thru too fast to notice what other people are buying.

More Dems are starting to get called out on their lies about who’s to blame for shutdown.
The Dems even created the covid subsidy issues with Obamacare they want to force Republicans to fix with this shutdown. I don’t think anything covid related should be happening anymore, but Dems love to extend programs in these situations and try to make them start to appear normal similar to finding ways to keep illegals in the country for as long as possible to claim their presence is now normal as they have been here too long to remove.
I guess with Biden’s Autopen’s extension of covid subsidies they couldn’t get all Dems on board until a time limit was added to a covid program. Now along with helping illegals and funding alphabet propaganda programs around the globe they also want to use shutdown to force a fix to their own passed bill/law.

In those seven states you can use SNAP at participating McDonalds or other fast food places ( that are supposed to fill out the paperwork to do so) as long as you’re over 60, disabled, or homeless.
Now, that said, how many who aren’t over 60, disabled, or homeless use this loophole to score a Big Mac meal? It’s probably impossible to track.

The Democrats could vote on the CR and stop holding their voters hostage because Shummer is afraid he will be primaried by AOC.
This is all on the left.

We argue over stuff that truly doesn’t matter. EBT makes up 1.5% of the fiscal budget.
