New Orleans should be easy to quarantine. You have to take a bridge to get out.

Times is tough. Time to blow the bridges and shut off Orleans and the east bank of Jefferson from the rest of the state.

If it doesn't he will say his policy was the reason...he wins either way. He is dangerous.

I understand that EBR has over 10% of the state's population and only 4% of the state's COVID cases while having one of the most robust testing paradigms.

Anything else?

Only that I hope you're right. I really do. I hope that it all goes away fast and we are all left feeling like an overreaction.

And I'm not saying it will. I'm saying that I'm not generally particularly fond of EBR local government, but I'm giving them kudos for handling this about as well as they could have, under the circumstances. If shite hits the fan, it hits the fan. Won't be their fault.

If Orleans is about to explode that means the social distancing hasn't done anything.
judging by videos on facebook, this has largely been ignored. NOPD trying to break up groups and they just stand there...

My wife is a nurse directly treating Covid patients in a St Tammany. She said all but one of her patients are from NOLA, and have no ties to St Tammany. The other is from Washington Parish.

Please don't mention blowing the bridges. They are too damned expensive to repair and rebuild

Alternative: take out the dirt below the highway approach. Much easier and cheaper to repair.
