You can set it to be on 24/7. I like knowing I have a camera on while my car is parked.

no. It comes with long enough power cable where you can wire directly into fuse panel.
Output format is .AVI

Also do you have to clear the SD card every few days or does it just loop over itself?

Dang, that's what happens when you read the thread backwards from the last post.
It's good to know I'm not the only person who does that.

So I'd be able to just plug it into my cigarette plug(constant power even when on/off) and it would stay on 24/7? If so I'm in.
Posted on 1/6/15 at 4:10 pm to YOURADHERE
No, your cig port is turned off when you stop the engine. It sounds like he's saying it comes with a cable to run to the fuse box to provide constant power (similar to your dome light).

I have an F250, 12v plugs have constant power even with the engine shut off.
Posted on 1/6/15 at 4:30 pm to YOURADHERE
Gotcha, our only always-on cig port is in the very rear of the van and my car is too old for that shite.
You should be good to go then.

That's the Chevy HHR, not a PT cruiser, FWIW.
