Find a broker who will shop them for you.

They don't tow you for being uninsured anymore, so I recommend that for your cheapest option.

I've had State Farm for over 30 yrs; I have a no cancellation policy and $100 deductible on collision....grandfathered in stuff

Get quotes and go with the cheapest one

Get with a non-captive indy agent and let him find you the best coverage.

Ask your wife what kind of deal she can get from Greg

I'm in the collision repair industry and deal with insurance companies on a daily basis. In this area(Baton Rouge) atleast, hands down, Farm Bureau is the best insurance company from a customer service stand point. Everyone you deal with are local and actually care about the customer, rather than just saving as much money as they can. Rates wise, I think they are pretty comparable.

USAA is also awesome, but you have to have an affiliation with the military to get insurance through them.
