If somebody has had a bad experience with it, let me know. It’s between this one and the Traeger. Price is about the same.

Get a Rec-Tec. Thank me later.

Have had a CC Woodwind for three years now.
Love it.
I got the sear box that attaches to the side. It’s awesome to cook with but the grate for that hasn’t held up too well. No issues on the CC grill however.

I second this. Fantastic grill and even better customer service.

Myself. Was hoping to find them on sale this weekend but no luck. I’ll be adding on the Sidekick too.

I’ve considered the sidekick but it only comes from the factory with a propane hookup. I want natural gas. They do sell a gas conversion kit for around $80. At this point I’m wondering how often I’ll actually use the sidekick.

I have that same one. I have had no issues with it.

Got one for Father's day. It's great. I prefer the camp chef ash clean out feature versus the traeger.

I know it’s a bit more money but a few years back I got deep into researching pellet grills and started out looking at trager. Ultimately I ended up with a Yoder. All American made and quality is unmatched. Looking back now this has been one of the best purchases of my adult life!

Yep better get a Req Tec or you will regret it

My first pellet grill was a Camp Chef, really put some hours on that thing. I leaked smoke like crazy and was flimsy but did cook great. I sold it for a good amount and bought a Yoder.

Go with the Kamado Joe / Big Green Egg / Primo.

I have a traeger. Don’t get a Traeger

I will also say check out the Masterbuilt line of gravity charcoal cookers. They use charcoal, temp is controlled by a controller like a pellet grill but you can add wood and get the flavor of a stick burner. I have the 560 version and use it way more than my Yoder, the flavor is that much better.

Do any of you cook steaks entirely with these pellet grills...can you crank them hot enough to sear or do you need attachments/have to go cast iron or other route to sear?

I’m looking at getting one in the near future and I’ve been talking to my BiL about it and he has a traeger and said it’s his only complaint. He has to take it off and sear it on something else.
Pit boss can he said.

The Yoder has a panel you can remove to cook directly over the fire, get's in the 600 degree range.
