I was just up there. This seems to be mostly true of both Washington and Oregon. Especially as you move east, the people and scenery change more. Don’t get me wrong, I really love that area and not trying to hate, just being honest.
The groomer type thing is hard to escape, and it’s not aimed at me. It’s in book stores, museums, billboards, murals, parks, etc. - I’d venture to guess the public school systems. Sure it comes from the cities but it permeates. Hard to explain without a wall of text, but it seems so spiritually vacant. Imagery and messaging you just don’t want your kids exposed to. They try to be so inclusive but the drugs and lgbt shite just make it a freak show. Meanwhile, half the kids up there under 25 walk around with stuffed animals. Large portion of the people just don’t seem well adjusted.
I’ve been to Southern California recently and the northeast it’s been 5 years, but still, those cultures, while liberal are just not nearly as weird. San Diego in particular seems like a pretty normal place for a big city.

Some these people make me really think being miserable and angry all the time is their comfort zone. Moving somewhere that has the nicest people and comfortable weather is just a damn nightmare.
