Did people laugh? It was one of the first fears people had back in mid-March and by March 20 I think people began to realize the magnitude of the social disruption that was coming because literally everything was closed and stay at home orders were beginning to rain down on every state.

Who cares about a depression and people losing their livelihoods. Karen says we need to stay home for the foreseeable future.

Those already with depression issues are taking this hard. I feel sorry for my ex wife's new husband...... actually, nah, he deserves it

It is still laughable. This is a naturally disaster type decline it will ramp back up quickly. Oil tanking will hurt some industries but will also help others.

You could've just posted a thread that said "Look at me!"

Same thing as this

No, it isn’t.

People are so dead set in their stances that they will absolutely refuse to believe that our actions were poor and we will suffer for it.

They are so set in their beliefs that they continue to fight tooth and nail against allowing people to return to work.

On top of all that, the oil price situation compounds everything.

There has never been a natural disaster that resulted in an UE of nearly 20% in a matter of weeks.

The Great Depression took nearly an entire year to reach the levels we are at now.
