I'm trying to do better man. I'm not outwardly selfish. She thinks that I am great, and that is because I am good to her and treat her right. Its an internal struggle. We all go through them.

I know this first hand because I’m living it. My guy feels like this but refuses to end it and I keep hoping it will change. And I love him and just keep hoping. It’s stupid but I feel like what we have deserves every chance and if I bail too soon We won’t ever know and I’m not going to risk the regret.
Doesn’t your BF post here? This is awkward.

You asked for advice so here it is...you are not in this. Don't do this to her....either commit 100% and quit looking for the differences i stead of the synergies, or let it go. You don't sound like she does it for you. It will only get harder.
She sounds like a great catch for somebody who wants the kind of collateral she offers. Let her go find them..

So, from a somewhat older guy (mid40’s). I think your perspective is skewed by the somewhat recent phenomenon of on demand hooking up with girls. In the 90’s there were gray areas, but largely it was girls you frick and girls you marry and never the twain shall meet. It was work to meet and secure a quality girl in the 90’s and early 00’s. And there were always hard legs around ready to pounce if you fricked up.
I think it’s much harder for you guys to assign value to girls these days, which makes it harder to determine potential mates. My early 20’s BIL was in town last week from out of town. His phone was buzzing constantly while we were talking, I asked him what was going on, he showed me his phone, he had like 10 Tinder matches in the time we were talking. I shudder to think what that kind of easy access would have done to me at his age. It would have been a lot of fun, but I could have missed out on locking down my now wife of 20 yrs when I met her, which ended up being the best decision of my life. This easy availability makes it hard to recognize a good thing when you have it. Relationships are work and marriages are work and no one should marry because they are afraid of being alone, but also recognize that good women are really really rare.
