I love beer and I love Louisiana...but abita just isn't a great brewery. NOLA is better. Great raft is WAY better. Red River is at least on par.

If you can find it, try great raft's commotion. Better than jockamo IMO.
ETA: if anyone here finds themselves in Wilmington, NC...try front street brewery. I don't think I've ever had a bad beer there. Their Scottish ale is my all time favorite.

Good call. I tried that at avenue pub this past weekend. Another solid offering. Weak backbone but would drink again for sure b

The new Wrought Iron IPA is legit and priced right. Drinking one now. Their Bourbon Street stout is good also, though priced too high. Y'all need to get in to 2014.

My favorite is Restoration. Purple Haze is good on occasion (their light beer is even pretty good).
Turbodog is pretty good. It's one of my best friends go to, but I would rather have a restoration.

Wrought Iron IPA is one of the better beers they have put out.
Seersucker is solid
Turbodog is always solid
Restoration is one of my favorite "all day drinking" beers
Christmas Ale is solid
Abita gets alot of shite, and yes they arent the best, but they do make a few good beers. With that being said, they cant even touch Parish in basically every single category.

I agree with most all of this. I'm also a fan of fall fest. That said, Jockamo is horrendous and I can't believe anyone willingly drinks it.
