Wait till one of those ships get hit. All it will take is a couple drones.

My goodness the amount of money being made buying and selling these market swings is insane.

Commercial Vessels Flow Through Open Strait of Hormuz

USCENTCOM
TAMPA, Fla. — Commercial ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz increased June 20 as U.S. forces continued operating in the general area to support freedom of navigation.
Safe passage through the international waterway remained intact today as 55 merchant ships transited, moving large amounts of cargo and more than 17 million barrels of oil to global markets.
The Joint Maritime Information Center issued an advisory this week affirming safe passage for all vessels along a designated route that is free of arbitrary requirement claims or impediments. Details for the safe passage can be found here: LINK
U.S. forces remain present and vigilant to ensure all aspects of the agreement with Iran are adhered to, obeyed, and in full force and effect.

US has denied its closure
Posted on 6/20/26 at 1:04 pm to Sterling Archer
Was it just Iran saying this? It wasn’t completely closed before the agreement, so at a minimum I would expect that level and not a full closure.
EDIT:
The link in the OP even includes similar. The OP subject is misleading to what is stated in the article included.
quote:
A senior U.S. defense official told Fox News on Saturday that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have closed the Strait of Hormuz, but that "they can't... they don't control it."
The remark comes as U.S. Central Command said “Safe passage through the international waterway remained intact today as 55 merchant ships transited, moving large amounts of cargo and more than 17 million barrels of oil to global markets.”
EDIT:

quote:
The IRGC warned ships not to approach the waterway, a vital conduit for global oil and gas supplies ?whose closure Iran has used as leverage, citing what it called Israeli "crimes" in Lebanon and a U.S. violation of commitments to establish a ceasefire. It ?said vessels would be at risk if they approached.
U.S. Central Command, however, said that 55 merchant ships had transited the Strait on Saturday, moving large amounts of cargo and more than 17 million ?barrels of oil to global markets, and that U.S. forces would ensure the flow of ships continued.

What makes you think this?
How much time do you have? Clinton’s North Korea deal, Bosnia/Kosovo, Sudan, Haiti. Obama’s red line in Syria, Benghazi, “enabling” ISIS, Libya, “weakness” in allowing Russia to take Crimea, although many in that crowd suddenly felt bad for poor, put-upon Russia when Biden supported Ukraine. Biden’s pullout from Afghanistan, which both admins share blame for. "I did that" stickers on half the gas pumps in America.
All were treated like the fall of Rome by the same crowd that cheered miring us down in Iraq, though none admit it now, which was the ultimate catalyst for half the aforementioned shite they lost their fricking minds with other admins for.
And, oh yeah...
Obama's fricking JCPOA DEAL WITH IRAN, which was better than the possible deal outlined in the MOA Trump negotiated for us in almost every measurable way. And... wait for it... he got it without going to war, spending 50 billion dollars so far, alienating most of the Western world, and wreaking havoc on the global economy.
By the way, I won't let you guys memory hole that Trump called it “the worst deal ever,” “one of the worst deals ever made,” “defective at its core,” “horrible,” “decaying and rotten,” and a “catastrophe” and when he withdrew from it in 2018, he said that it gave Iran too much for too little, enriched the regime, failed to cover missiles and regional proxies, had weak inspection/verification rules, and only delayed Iran’s nuclear path instead of ending it.
Then he pulls the foreign policy fail "hold my beer" of the century and you're upset he's getting called on it? The man utterly and historically shits in all our beds with Iran, and criticizing him is “emotional.”
Get the frick out of here.

What was JCPOA’s affect on the Supreme Leader, the top military leadership, Iran’s Navy, Iran’s Air Force, weapons stock, and so on?
Even Ben Rhoads only tried to say that the war was the only difference, so what are the other measurable ways that make the JCPOA so much better in your mind and were they along with the rest of the JCPOA being 100% followed by Iran while it was still in place?
