Trump’s fault no doubt

Human activities emit 60 or more times the amount of carbon dioxide released by volcanoes each year. Large, violent eruptions may match the rate of human emissions for the few hours that they last, but they are too rare and fleeting to rival humanity’s annual emissions. In fact, several individual U.S. states emit more carbon dioxide in a year than all the volcanoes on the planet combined do.

This argument that human-caused carbon emissions are merely a drop in the bucket compared to greenhouse gases generated by volcanoes has been making its way around the rumor mill for years. And while it may sound plausible, the science just doesn’t back it up.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide. Despite the arguments to the contrary, the facts speak for themselves: Greenhouse gas emissions from volcanoes comprise less than one percent of those generated by today’s human endeavors.

If that bastard goes off we are all screwed. Good thing I stored up on rice, beans and 5.56 during the Obama years.

Go visit via Google Earth
The town they mention...there is a dock and that is the grand sum total of transportation to and from that town. The roads don't go around or over the island.
Now will the lava take out the solar panel array to the northwest of the town?
For an island less that four miles square, there's not much vegetation. Thank the volcano for that.
Also, the island where a lot of the photos were taken...is very small and very far away.

Looks like a pyroclastic flow on the left side of the photo not good

That math sounds very wrong. CO2 should be skyrocketing if that's the case. Its taken 100 years to go from mid 200's to about 410 ppm now. If we were dumping that much more than natural sources we would be much higher ppm than where we are now.

Yeah...i’M calling bullshite.
This is what Krakatoa, a single volcano, did to the earths climate
And you are trying to tell me that humans do 60 times this every year and don’t make anywhere near the impact?
Sounds like actual, verifiable science trumps speculation

Compares this eruption to Krakatoa.
Brilliant.
Brilliant.

Things are getting interesting globally. More so than the norm. I know every generation that has walked this earth thought that “their” generation would see the end times. They were all wrong thus far so the odds are this one is wrong too. But interesting nonetheless.

Yeah, I'm calling bullshite on that. I got my information from a Boyd professor of Geology at LSU. Where'd you get your info? The Onion?
