Your first thought is abortion?

It's violent crime, actually, but people then auto-reply with "the numbers are fake" so I have a couple other pathologies that I know the social conservatives hate on hand to look up.

SFP is thinking about The Warriors and Escape from New York. Both pretty influential.

I’d like to see the abortion rate per pregnancies. With the widespread use of birth control pills there would naturally be a less rate of abortions per female. But we could be seeing a higher rate of abortions per pregnancy.

Just looked it up. The abortion ratio (number of abortions per live birth) almost mirrors the abortion rate.

Interesting that the 2021 abortion rate was 28.6 in AA and 6.4 for whites. I didn’t realize it was this skewed.

The 20's and 30's were the best, the 60's were the best. You name it, just wait 20-30 years and each decade will claim the best

Yeah the greatest decade ever if we ignore rates of pretty much every social pathology

I’m not sure you know how to read a line graph. The first shows a significant dip in violent crime starting in 1980. The second shows a downward trend in abortion rates starting in 1981. The last does show an increase and spike in teen birth rates in the late 80s to a level well below anything from the previous three decades, but this was after remaining at near pre-1950s levels over most of the decade. What exactly do you think you were showing here?

Sir... you obviously never waited at the radio with your finger on the record and play button to steal your favorite song.

You also must not have enjoyed pressing the ffwd button and play button at the same time to hear your favorite song as Alvin and the chipmunks.

He's showing how Adam Walsh scared him to death. Most everyone else here didn't care and rode our bikes for miles without fear.

I did, in fact. And woe be unto that motherfricker on the radio if they start talking over the last few seconds of the motherfricking song

I did; I can also very easily reproduce that, and much more, on everything from the computer in my pocket to the computer on my desk

Cassettes manage to be inferior to basically every other format, from LP to CD to MP3. The only reason they were popular for a short period of time was because they could be played on the move, whether in your car or in a walkman. CDs then replaced them in that utility basically overnight.

Have you all seriously forgotten how excited we all were when CD decks started becoming common in vehicles?

And VHS basically has no advantages whatsoever over any other format, so we don't even need to go into more detail on that
