I personally believe they should all be destroyed.
But hey we all have different views.

Guns don't kill people, pit bulls do.

The city I live in has made it difficult to own a pit bull by regulations. Here is just one that sets the requirements for confinement of the dog. There is also a special permit $75 and a microchip requirement.
Confinement. All city registered dangerous dogs shall be securely confined indoors or, if outdoors, in a securely enclosed and locked pen or kennel, except when leashed and muzzled as above provided. All structures must include a concrete floor with secure walls of either sealed and painted cinderblock or heavy gauge chain link fence. Structure size cannot be less than ten (10) feet by ten (10) feet in size with a wall height of at least six (6) feet. The structure must have a heavy gauge chain link on the ceiling. All structures used to confine a city registered dangerous dog must be locked with a key lock or combination lock when such animals are within the structure. All structures erected to house dangerous dogs must comply with all zoning and building regulations of the city. All such structures must be adequately lighted, ventilated and kept in a clean and sanitary condition.

I'd rather see a dog "breed" exterminated than small children continue to be eaten. Is this a democratic point of view?
Do you want to ban guns as well?

Because that has historically been a good way of doing things.

you must get rid of the problem in order to get rid of pitbulls, simply change the laws of ownership and owner responsibility, if pit attacks and ownership is proven, owner goes to frick you in the butt prison 3-5 for assault...

How about make it illegal and just grandfather those in who already has them to be able to keep them?

So pretty much exactly what my plan is.
Your solution to the problem was making it illegal. Not exactly groundbreaking

A solution for the pit bull problem
Pass a law making it illegal to own a pit bull, but delay the enforcement, say, 15 years. This will allow any living pit the chance to live without being euthanized. But obviously breeding your pit would be a bad idea. Within a few years you would see populations shrink, and in 15 years any pits left would get the ol’ Lethal injection treatment.
No that is ignorant, but I would have no problem with dog's owner being 100% responsible for dog's actions. And criminally liable.
