A solution for the pit bull problem

The problem is all the mutts and mixes.

The better solution is not allow poor people to own them, because they were the ones backyard breeding these things to sell to other trashy morons. They don't spay or neuter them, they don't have houses with enough room, they don't train them or socialize them, etc.

There's a reason the vast vast majority of all of these stories happen in the ghetto, in apartments, and/or with animals that were kept chained up in a yard. (Seriously, look at the news stories and see how many don't fit one of those 3 criteria)

I'm more interested in a solution to the "douchebag can't stfu and quit whining about pitbulls" problem that seems to occur at least twice daily on this board.

Outlaw their breeding and encourage getting them fixed. Stuff penalties if not obeyed (like illegal weapon charge).

Let’s not worry about killing them, because that is going to get the most resistance. But there is no reason to keep breeding these things

Good idea. That’s definitely worked for drugs. Make it illegal and it ceases to be a problem.

Meh, live and let live. However, if me or ANY of my family or friends are being charged by an aggressive animal of any breed, that animal WILL be shot immediately.

My kids are 29 and 27, and they can take care of themselves.

Obviously my first post here sounded a little reactionary; I am confident that I'd be able to tell the difference if a dog meant harm or not. With what you described, we would probably be drinking a beer together and I wouldn't be alarmed.

Doo, my dog lives a hard life. Never slept outside his whole life. Sleeps in his own bed in the wash room. Posterpedic bed at that. Most affectionate dog i ever had. Loves kids, and women. He has to sniff a male but has never shown any aggression with humans. But, if he ever did i would kill him immediately.
