God isn't "intelligent", nor does God need to "design" anything. These words imply a time component, and God is beyond time.

Why is this a problem? Evolution is not anathema to the Church.

This. It sounds like someone can’t handle the actual truth.

Well yeah. She is a woman.

You can always go with “some things are beyond our understanding”

After you say this, the kid will ask why does God allow infants to have cancer.

Answer. God is an a-hole.

We don’t know. We don’t need to know why God does anything. He’s God, and we are mere mortals and cannot understand His ways. We just need to love Him and others.

Get out a Bible and start reading it. Genesis explains it all. Pretty telling this wasn’t your first option for someone who grew up in the Catholic Church.

What a snarky answer. This is one of many reasons why the church is having trouble bringing in younger people. Be less judgy and more inviting irl.

How are you gonna explain God when he finds out there is no such thing as Santa when God and Santa can see when you are sleep and know when you're awake?

God has a wicked sense of humor. God can be anything he choses. God has all the time in the world. God not only created the Universe but all the Multi Verses. God cannot get lost.

A question for religious people.
I was raised Catholic, was an alter server (never been touched) but got out of the church in high school. Now that I have kids we put them in religion and my youngest asked me about God and the universe.

How do you explain God creating the Universe? All the galaxy’s and planets and especially black holes. He wants to know why God made them. Advice please.

Shut up, stop thinking for yourself, and comply has been a working response for centuries. Still does to this day.

I think the real question you should be asking yourself is whether or not you want to indoctrinate your kids into religious belief or let them decide on their own when they are older.

Study St. Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologia or take a metaphysics course in college.

God created the incomprehensible expanse of the universe to display the majesty of his glory. The bible says in Psalms 19:1, The heavens declare the glory of God.

You are wrong.
Proverbs 22:6 says, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Because they can choose when they are older even if they are ‘indoctrinated’ - might as well give them a foundation in something that they can always reject later
