Sorry if it's in the wrong page but I have been looking at Jeep Wranglers to buy and would like to get a newer model. I have done a lot of research on gas mileage which is the driving factor in which to buy. The Wrangler Unlimited Four Door or the Two Door??

I wanted to see if any of you had opinions on the two. Yes, I know one is bigger and that has positives and negatives for me. At the end of the day the reported gas mileage of the two are pretty much equal for the 4 Cylinder turbo. 22-24 MPG. Some of the Two Doors are showing 25 for a Hwy MPG. What are your Pros and Cons?

The ladies love them.

And when I say ladies, I mean the LGBTQ ones.

If gas milage is in your mind at all, do not buy a wrangler. Caveat, idk about the new 4cyl turbos. But for their 3.6l I get about 15mpg

I had my purchase all set up, credit approved, bank on board, and then I went into the dealership and failed the last two hurdles: I wasn’t hot enough AND my penis was too large to be approved

Yeah, that's what scares me, but I have talked to a guy that has a two door 2021 model that is getting 24 with that 4-cylinder turbo.

Thanks for your input Ron Jeremy.

As was said, if you are thinking about gas mileage, then don't buy a Wrangler. I currently get 15mpg, but I have heavily modded mine.

What are you planning on doing with it? Offroading, overlanding, taking it to the mall?

Impossible to give advice with the limited info you gave in the OP.

My wife has a 22 4 door with the V6. We get 20-21 driving normal. We enjoy it. We got the soft top this time. The last one we had was the hardtop and it was a PITA to take off.

I was given one as a rental (not my choice) when we got over 50 or so on the highway the roof would started making a noise like a train coming.

You couldn't hear the radio or talk it was so loud

If you took your hand and pushed up on the roof it would stop but who the F wants to drive around pushing on their roof

Yes and a good friend has one. Gets 30 MGP on Hwy but I mean diesel cost 40% more than gas in a lot of cases. It's a wash at best. Now if there's another reason to buy a diesel, maybe...

I would look at the 3.0 Eco-Diesel that gets about 25 mpg. I personal am a big fan of it.

Bruh I’m practically deaf and I can hear the radio or the person next to me just fine with my windows down

Yeah jeeps are loud but don’t be a hysterical woman

Pro: More reliable than a Ford Bronco, excellent off road, surprisingly easy to park.

Con: It's still uncomfortable on the highway, has a loud interior, and is not very fuel efficient.

as the others have said 15-16 is all you are gonna get with the 3.6 pentastar. Pros outweigh the cons though

get the 4 door, 3 piece hard top and the sunrider soft top add on. Pull the two front top pieces and install the sunrider, you’ll have the best of both

I think the GM I-6 duramax is better, but Stellantis has really improved the Ecodiesel over the years. It's a very solid engine now even though the first iterations of it were rough.

Thanks... It does help. One of the reasons I thought to go away from the 4 Door is it might be hard getting around in parking places.

I currently have a crew cab F150 4X4 and even with a good turning radius it's tough getting around town.

This will be my primary vehicle with very little use in the mud. Actually, anything off the road would be used at my cattle farm for light duty type things.

I had a two door V6 and traded in for the four door PHEV. Two door is more fun to drive, but has very little space. When using the gas engine, mileage is comparable.

Unpopular opinion around here, but I’ve been really happy with the PHEV. Most of my trips are under 20 miles and I get free charging at work, so I really only fill the tank about once a month. With the tax credits and state incentives here it was the same price as the gas model.
