First off I want to thank you guys and the Poli-Board guys for giving me mucho entertainment and interesting news, yada, while I have been trying to get well but I got cocky about not getting a flu shot this year...well not sure this second round of flu would've mattered anyway but I caught it. It didn't kick my backside much, juiced up on vitamins and felt like I was alright...well the flu didn't give me the beat down but the pneumonia sure as Hades did/has. Let me tell you that shite ain't no joke.

I was thinking I was on the road to recovery that was until I took a turn for the worse...turns out I had to go back in today and I turned a tri-fecta of acute sinusitis, acute bronchitis, and pneumonia still working me over. So I feel like crap...got some shots and all but I implore those of you do not get complacent about your flu shot and furthermore get your pneumonia shot if applicable. I can't tell you what I would give to go back in time and make a better decision to get my shot. TIA for any prayers and please be nice as I simply don't have it in me to deal with any meanness... Thanks again as well for the fun times had here too!

An attorney in his mid 30’s a few years ago and a nasty cough and he didn’t get it checked out. He died of pneumonia.

Yeah I was trying to ride it out as they say there's not a whole lot can be done for viral pneumonia but yeah that crap is terrible. Sorry about your friend

Ok I have it in me to handle your being an arse but you keep thinking that...a word to the wise is sufficient... obviously we are not dealing with that in your case.

It's a good message. Vaccination has inexplicably been subject to irrational criticism lately. The science behind it is solid, it works.

I'm sorry to hear you had the experience you did; but your thread convinces one person to get their family immunized, your time will not have wasted.

I'm gonna send my doctor an email and thank him for going through my vaccination record and making sure it's up to date at every visit.

I think I'm due for pneumonia at my next one.

Flu can be a bitch. It.can set off allergies that haven't bothered you in the past and hang on for a year. Good luck. Hope your bug isn't too bad.

Sorry not on my A game with punctuation...maybe I could suggest to you a go round with reading comprehension there yourself as I made the errant assumption that you could understand why there might be a gaffe in my post. Guess I gave you too much credit.

Ummm… The OP specifically requested that nobody come in and be a dick. This post is breaking thread rules. Please edit.
