Most were getting impatient.
Seeing as there is nobody in the pic walking around the mall, I guess this was the only escalator in the place and everyone there was waiting on this guy.

That's racist. If it were a white guy helping him, you wouldn't have posted the pic

This man likely fought in the Big One and this is the immortalizing photo of his life. Way to go, Social Media

I like stories like that. Reminds me of one I saw this morning.

Someone tell the old man the elevator's right around the corner.

Glad there were no LEOs there to shoot at them or arrest them for being compassionate.

Maybe he gets anxiety on elevators.
My PawPaw was a WW2 vet who saw a lot of combat. He was tough as nails, but got major anxiety being in small spaces and on the 4th of July/New Years.
The elderly deserve great respect, kudos to that young man for being kind!

wonder how many if it wasn't a black guy with dreads
It being an old white man and a young black man is the entire point

A white guy helping him could be interpreted as a younger relative helping out.
This further increases the likelihood of it not being staged.

I was taught the proper way to rack was to alternate solids and stripes numbered sequentially. But other than that, pretty nice rack. Looks tight and solid.
ETA to add image for reference

The Korean War is now called The Big One?

Yes, a photo of another empty mall destined to be shuttered.
3 people sitting down looking at their smartphones. One young man approaching from the left side. Two employees standing in the door behind the approaching young man, watching/hoping for potential customers to get commission.
This may have been early morning when the elderly go to the mall to walk for exercise, before going to Ryan's for buffet lunch with seniors discount, then off to the pharmacy to pick up their meds before going home to watch the 5 o'clock news and hitting the bed.

You can't post good shite people do on here. This board is fueled by hateful shite and violence.

This is not what is right with the world, but shows what is wrong instead.
One person offered to help, while the rest probably played on their phones and made snide comments under their breath? And this should be celebrated?
This picture only exists because it is a black person helping a helpless old white person. Does anyone truly believe any other race combination would have received a single mention or care?

I was leaving the hospital the other day after seeing my mom and this black lady had a flat tire in the parking deck. Two older white dudes stopped and changed it for her. This happens all the time around here. People helping people shouldn't be news, but unfortunately everything now must have a racial undertone.
