I’ll sell him my bar roll number and notary seal.

Neither have been used since 1998

They are probably all hoping for a Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren or Elizabeth Warren/Bernie Sanders ticket in ‘20 !

OPD has now removed the fake lawyer as a staff attorney. She almost made it 24 hours after the story broke

Friedman called it shocking that the public defender’s office hired Crawford as an attorney in the first place. “Because all they have to do is call the Bar Association, and they would say 'I’m sorry there is no one at the Bar Association by that name. That would have taken about three minutes to discover," Friedman said.

Would take less than 10 seconds.

Just looking at that photo:
1. What a complete waste as a human being.
2. Unable to serve any purpose in life.
3. Should have never been born

Interestingly, I just ran across this (behind a pay wall)..

IG: Attorney worked for decades with suspended law license
Kevin Bogardus, E&E News reporter

Published: Friday, June 21, 2019

An EPA attorney worked at the agency without an active law license for decades.

EPA's Office of Inspector General said in a report released this afternoon that an agency attorney's law license was suspended in 1985 but was never reinstated during the remainder of that person's tenure at EPA. The attorney, who retired from EPA in 2017, repeatedly lied on self certification forms saying they had an active law license.

The discrepancy was uncovered in an IG investigation of the Senior Executive Service-level attorney, who first joined EPA in 1979. The attorney "for decades represented himself or herself to EPA as an active member of a state bar whose license in fact had been suspended," the report said.

The report was signed by Helina Wong, assistant inspector general for the IG's Office of Investigations, and sent to General Counsel Matt Leopold and Donna Vizian, who leads EPA's Office of Mission Support.

The investigation reviewed eight of the attorney's certification forms from 2006 to 2013, all of which included the same lie that the attorney was an active member of the bar. The forms also provided different and incorrect bar license numbers, according to the IG.

Wonder what his pay grade was upon retirement and how much he's getting per month in retirement?

this chick just decided to say "frick it"

i mean this really sucks for her. due to the OPPD v. OPDA war, they're going to go for blood and will demand she pleads to a felony

she went to Loyola so I'm sure she has 6-figures of SL debt. she won't even be able to do a public service loan forgiveness

And they call THIS news??. I’m pretty sure the people she helped didn’t have enough money to hire a real attorney and she assisted them obviously successfully or she wouldn’t have had so many clients. Some lawyers don’t have 100 clients ??. This is not embarrassing if that’s what the article tried to do. I APPLAUD her

That is Ken M level stuff right there.

A former Orleans Parish public defenders’ employee who represented dozens of clients in court despite lacking a license to practice law was jailed Friday morning on criminal counts. Ashley Crawford, 31, faces counts of filing or maintaining false public records, public payroll fraud, practicing law without a license and first-degree injuring of public records after state Attorney General Jeff Landry's office obtained a warrant to arrest her. Orleans Parish Magistrate Court Judge Harry Cantrell ordered her released from jail on her own recognizance later Friday.

Surprised reference checks weren’t conducted, prior to hiring this fraud. Then again, it’s NOLA
