Wouldn't he have technically been a real lawyer since he actually passed the bar?

Hold on, does this mean that any client she “defended” that was found guilty will now either be released or get a new trial?

True. He faked his diploma from Harvard, but can anyone take the bar test or do you have to have a law degree to take it?

I believe he faked a transcript from Harvard. Also, you could take the Bar as many times as you wanted so he took it until he passed it.

In a statement, Cannizzaro said that Crawford may have worked on over 100 cases in Orleans Parish criminal courts and that his office is investigating the allegations as a criminal matter.

No.

Defendants who entered guilty pleas with Crawford at their side could challenge their conviction. Loyola University law professor Dane Ciolino said those cases would have to be considered on an individual basis, if it's confirmed that Crawford was ineligible.

"Each case is still going to be looked at on a case-by-case basis to see whether she provided substandard legal advice and whether that advice caused prejudice to a client," Ciolino said. "It doesn’t turn into an automatic get out of jail free card."

It's possible they were just taking their word for it.

And Loyola

The over-worked defense doesn't fly here. The first thing they should have checked is her bar admittance.

Crazy thing is she appeared in all divisions of the court too. I could see maybe one or two.

"May it please the court, I'm from the public defenders office."
