Over the past decade a long standing LSU tradition has gone away with the change of the times. The longstanding tradition of Mike the Tiger being on the field at LSU games has ended after the death of Mike VI in 2016 as LSU decided no future Mike's would be transported into the games.
This issue has come back into the spotlight as of late as Governor Jeff Landry started to state that he supported the idea of bringing the tradition back to LSU.
The tradition appears to be returning as Louisiana Sports Net shares the news that LSU will have a live Tiger back on the sidelines this weekend for the first time in nearly a decade.
Mike the Tiger won't be the one making the trip inside the Stadium this weekend as he'll remain in his habitat. Instead, Jeff Landry will be bringing in an Out of State Tiger into Louisiana to serve in the role as LSU's live mascot.

Damn…Louisiana has to outsource Tiger appearances at LSU games to out of state tigers?

This is fricking stupid. Mike is Mike. That's just a Wish version for the hillbilly fans to scream at.

"unbelieveable opportunity" -Gov. Landry
In what way is this an unbelieveable opportunity? Is this creating jobs? Dealing with soaring insurance costs?
edit: Ok this has to be a hoax post. Right?

This guy really is an idiot..
Does anyone care about having a tiger on the field anymore? I get that it was cool back in the day, but this is forced and honestly a bit cruel to the tiger

As a retard and Louisiana resident (anonymous, I know), I approve of and support Gov. Landry's decision.

Finding a random tiger to bring is hilarious

Why would anyone complain about this, other than why can't Mike get his arse out the kennel and ride a loop around the field?
Make LSU's On-field Mascot Display Great Again

We may have a good election process, but we have our share of dumb candidates.

Maybe the live tiger is actually Tiger Woods?

Or will it be Joe Burrow, the Bengal Tiger ?

Yeah asking about the cost and who's paying for it along with this seemingly consuming lots of the governor's time are silly meaningless questions.

Let Corso and Saban hold the tiger on set

How can he think it's a good idea to bring in a fake mascot?
Where is the fake mascot going to be held when not on the field?

This is such a dumb thing for the governor to worry about.
