Didn’t realize he made this kind of money.

The tricky compensation maneuver, uncovered by investigators, found that just one of businessman Lee Mallett’s companies paid 46 employees a total of $452,000 in wages and during the same time the company paid $553,000 in mileage reimbursements, according to a report that aired Wednesday on WVUE-TV in New Orleans.

IIRC the Rant loved him a few months ago because he was in the anti Alleva camp.

If this is the type of guy who is against Jim Donelon, you should probably vote for Jim Donelon.

Considering how many previous insurance commissioners are behind bars, one getting attacked for NOT being corrupt is a big change.

That would take 10 hours @ 47mph

5 hours @ 94mph.

Give or take.

I will never understand how LSU can allow a non-college graduate to be on their board of supervisors. It is completely asinine and just further perpetuates the fact that our university is a fricking joke.

Most of that’s correct. Him and the Sheriff are good friends and the Sheriff helped grease the whole process to supply Mallett with workers..... I mean assist the offenders with rehabilitation and learning a valuable skill. Allegedly.
Mallett’s dad and EE were best friends if that says anything. Mallett *appears to* strategically contributes to whichever party candidate will help him most too. One can’t help but imagine this reeks of pay for play politics.
If someone wanted to make a really good story about how old school racist democrats operate and keep people down for their own benefit under the guise of benevolence, this has all the hallmarks.
