This. When you get married you vow to stick through the better or the worse. You should be doing everything you can to minimize how much of the worse your spouse is going to have to go through.

They're not mutually exclusive. Her being a bad example (physically) and refusing to live a healthier lifestyle doesn't mean the guy is blameless for bailing on his family to chase more attractive tail.

ETA: you can also do a quick and cardio intensive burpee workout in less than 10 minutes so time isn’t close to a valid excuse either

Honestly, I can't get over that. It's such a selfish move on his part with potential long lasting negative impacts on his kids. Stick around and wait until they are out of the house.
