They will be worse off because they were living off of someone else’s money.

It’s kind of like the Chis Rock routine about standards of living in a divorce.

NBR may be “acclimated” to having everyone pay for their shite but they don’t deserve anything past what they can pay for.

Basically to this point they have been parasites, and now their blood supply is gone and they have no one but themselves to depend on. Sorry not sorry.

And they could have kept the money if they had conceded the ISD.

Now they have lost the money and may still give up the ISD.

What is the school Mascot?

For St. George High? Probably something like Redskins, knowing that city's racist past.

Yep. I tried to explain this to everyone involved. In particular, those who were working downtown and at the Capitol to stop the ISD formation.

Reality should have been moving forward with the BRAC proposal of breaking EBRPSS apart into 4 or 5 smaller districts.

And what killed it, IMHO, was the stubborn belief that people would get cowed and not persist in trying to get an ISD or a city.

Except that the actions of the city, the school system, and the legislature kept pissing off more and more people to push through.

Can you please add a bullet about SWB quietly annexing the Mall of LA, the casino and the Siegen Lane corridor just to frick St. George? And how the city is getting the tax revenue from those locations while EBRSO is stuck with patrolling them? That was such a shitty move on her part.

Martini

This was done when Kip Holden was mayor.

Jesus don’t you people ever confirm before posting?

He did the mall and the casino. I can't believe it was that long ago. The Siegen Lane theft was all her. So, Jesus, don't you confirm before posting?

quote:

Metro Councilman Buddy Amoroso, who has opposed piecemeal annexations, asked whether the council could call for an election to just welcome everyone in the southeast portion of the parish into the city limits. That is within their right, legal staff said. That's not currently part of Mayor Sharon Weston-Broome's plan, but it isn't out of the question either, said Jim Llorens, the administration's acting chief administrative officer. "The mayor's open to discussions," he said.

And a LINK as well. So GFY.

Good post. Sky screamers should be yelling at the true flight baws (though I cannot blame them). Where is the outrage at Prairieville (which in 1995 I recall being all of a dozen houses), Denham Springs, Walker, Zachary, Watson, and Gonzales?

Should have locked the gate a long time ago. Too many people take exit 173. They all stay in the passing lane untill the last second then brake and try to squeeze in
