Now, I don't know about an average HS JV basketball team, but I would bet on a decent boy's varsity team to beat any women's NCAA team, any day of the week.

Try this scenario: The Champions of the WNBA go on a 50 state tour, playing the State High School champs of each respective state.....how many games would the ladies win?

Not long ago there was a WaPo story about one of the WNBA players who commented that she routinely got challenged by men in that category and just as routinely stomped them.

Of course there's always the chance she's lying.

0-50 with 50 20+ point defeats.

State has a team of guys that played high school basketball that practices against the women's team. We're not talking about a team - we're talking about random guys that showed up and like the workout against a team that has played for a natty the last two years.

The random guys always win.

In 1973 Bobby Riggs who had been previously ranked number one in the world in men's tennis, got his arse beat by Billie Jean King.

Had a patient that’s now 50ish and teaches tennis. He was once ranked around 1000 in the world. He said that if you have him two weeks of raining, he could eat both of them now.

He said it would be because of the spin he can place on the ball.

Also, Chris Evert Lloyd said that when she was ranked #1 in the world, she would play against her younger brother who played tennis at a small, nothing college and he would beat her every time.

Our 130 pounder got to wrestle the first female permitted to compete by LHSAA. He was returning state champion & undefeated that season so drew top seed in his bracket and she drew 64th seed.

Their match lasted 7 seconds and went something like this

Damn me to hell but watching that girl square up, shake hands and then immediately go flying cracked us all up.

The raiders are trash. Bama certainly has players that will be better players in the NFL than some of their players.

Hell, LSU prob have guys in the secondary that are already better. We see our young guys ball out every year in the NFL.

The Raiders are banking on making their team better with a bunch of college players.

I agree, the cfb anology is the dumbest one.

Desperate sports for women are sexist

Is there a separate Fortune 500 for women?

Of course the comeback is the physical differences but then try to point out emotional or intellectual differences and you are “sexist”

There's a lot of evidence he threw that match.

He had previously crushed the current female No. 1 (Margaret Court) earlier in 1973.

At 55 years of age.

After being retired as a pro for almost 25 years and his last Grand Slam title being in the 40s.

Title IX has effectively eliminated collegiate men's soccer in this country.

It's more complicated than that. A big problem with collegiate men's soccer is the playing schedule. The season is very compressed and they play too many games in too short a time. This leads to overuse injuries.

Today if you want to be a pro player you really need to go through a development academy or one of the MLS team development programs where you can train throughout the year at a less intense pace.
