I dunno if this belongs here or in more sports, I guess I will post it here because it expands to the overall issue of outdoor activities in the cold (swimming in the cold ala the Polar Bear Club), etc etc.

My fiancé is a nurse in the ER there (travel assignment) she said they had tons of patients treated for frostbite during that time. Lots of homeless people too.
