Pretty cool. You can see when all the FedEx planes land in MEM and a few hours later all leave.

I couldn't see anything because of all the yellow ants on my screen

I think the Wright brothers really never grasped and appreciated just how huge their first flight was and expected it to be nothing more than a niche novelty for the elite wealthy.
It changed the trajectory of world history forever and today it's a way of life for every class of society and you can be anywhere on the planet in an average of 12 hours.
In just 70 years, we went from this....

I agree. It is THE quantum leap of our lifetime.

I'd like to see one of these for Europe. That place is a beehive.

Good point. I take the internet for granted much more so than I do air travel.

Does north Dakota even have an airport?

This is obvious based on the markets but the amount of traffic from this video in and out of Miami, LAX, and NY/NJ is insane. My butthole would be puckering to attempt even an hours worth of ATC at these airports.

The U.S. accounts for about 70% of the air traffic in the world. We are by far the busiest and safest airspace on Earth.

If you look closely you can see the flight leave Baton Rouge.

What's so cool about this is how you can see the "highways" that exist.

I live under one of the flight paths for Hobby and I feel that doesn't accurately depict how many flights go in and out every day.

If a zombie apocalypse begins, I'm heading to Montana.

I know a girl who is a UPS pilot and she was in the air on 9/11 and she was ordered to land at some airfield in BFE North Dakota. They didn't have a hotel or restaurant for miles around and her and her co pilot had to stay in a travel trailer that the airfield manager pulled over to the airfield. It was his personal trailer. The airfield was an old Air Force runway that was kept operational as an emergency field for the Air Force.
