3
- Nearly drowned in a pool as a 3 year old around oblivious adults. Luckily one saw my little fingers popping out of the water’s surface and jumped in for me after I passed out and sank.
- Lost control of a go kart as a child and ran full speed into a tire of a large tractor. If I veered 3 ft to the left I would’ve been decapitated.
- Fell out of a tree 10+ ft in the air. If I fell a little further over I would’ve been impaled by a rotten pointy stump.
I’m lucky I made it out of childhood

It could have been from the 19th century, but this was probably 1983.

1. Hit by a train. Walked away.
2. Reserve parachute ride. Walked away.
3. Totaled one motorcycle and wrecked another. Walked away both times.
4. Currently sitting in a shite hole third world country taking rocket attacks. I'm paying Uncle Sam his pound of flesh for all those years of leeching benefits. Jury is still out on whether I walk away from this one.

5ish, jumped from the back of a moving truck. I didn't understand speed.
When I was 6 or 7 a one inch cable snapped. A tractor was pulling a tree and it got hung up. The cable sliced the end of my nose like a razor. One burr.
8ish. Riding in tall grass and an electric wire caught me actoss the neck.
I got hit in the chest with two ricochets when I was 11 or so. Just poor planning.
When I was 18, I had a 40 gallon fuel tank explode a few feet from my face. I somehow avoided all injury. Just got flung about 10-15 feet.
Same year I had a drum of fuel ignite. Rather than burning my faces, eyes, and lungs, my left hand directed the torch away from me. Burned all of the skin off. But better than death.
20 went through a fence. Poles came through windshield.
21, stabbed in forearm in new orleans. Missed anything vital. Thankfully the knife was stolen. Sharp and clean.
23ish, vehicle diaabled 15ish miles in the woods, dead of summer. No water. Extremely dehydrated on the way out. Needed IV fluids.
25ish bad car wreck. Flipped a bunch of times. No air bags. Seat belts bolts ripped through the body. Head was beating the roof out.
27ish flipped a bunch of times in an off-road situation. No helmet. Head caved in the metal support for roof. Seat belt caused a lot of body damage.
32ish, hit by a car on a bike. Totaled her vehicle and mine. I was somehow unscathed.
I've been oddly safe the last few years.

A shite ton. I’ve been in quite a few wrecks that should’ve killed me. It’s incredible I’m still alive.

Praying for all of y’all man. Got quite a few buddies in the same boat.

In the mid 80's I was taking the loop from causeway to Jefferson hwy. when it was a two way. Some butthole was passing a 18 wheeler and coming into my lane head on... There was no where for me to go.. I thought we were going to have a head on collision. I slammed on my brakes and (thank God) he floored it and made it back into his lane.

Cheers. I'd bet my next paycheck that I know several of them.

My buddy and I were robbed outside a bar one night at gun point. They made us get in my buddy's car and wanted us to go by the ATM and remove cash and then they were gonna let us go.
My buddy decided to drive off an overpass on I65 near Birmingham instead of being robbed AND murdered. He was driving. I was in the rear passenger side seat. Both had guns to our heads.
After the crash I woke up and crawled to a place in the woods. No cell phone. No hope. I heard the guys with guns looking for me, and they were pissed. I have no idea how they didn't find me. After daylight I crawled out to the interstate to flag down a driver for help. Driver called 911 and I got taken to an ER nearby. Broken femur, broken elbow, and broken mandible.
My buddy had some serious internal bleeding and nearly died as well. We get together every year on the date and BBQ and have drinks.
When I was 8 I was approached and asked to get into the car of a man that was arrested 2 weeks later for kidnapping and murder. Dude told me my father was in an accident and sent for me. Little did he know my family had a code for such an event. Dude didn't know the code. I didn't get in his car and am alive.
Was discharging a patient just after he was sewn up by the Doc. Patient was set to be discharged into the custody of the local PD, for DUI. He was just paroled a month prior this incident. Unprovoked he reached for scissors that come in a suture kit. He reached back and attempted to stab me in my face/throat. I blocked it with my forearm. Police dove onto him, and it wasn't pretty.

Probably the closest was being half a second from a major car accident. Guy comes out of nowhere, ran a red light.going at least 70 or 80. I was in the passenger seat; brother in law was driving. If my bil didn’t hit the breaks when he did that guy would have t-boned us on my side of the car. Instead he only grazed our front, causing him to fishtail. He managed to keep control and kept hauling arse.

I hope those cops left a permanent mark on that assholes face. Not all police brutality is bad.

My plan isn't an overpass if that ever happens. But without a doubt, they are in for one of the worst rides of their lives.
Just casually put in a seatbelt when getting in

Why were you in a coma? How did your friend die? Why did the driver get arrested?
