A Bright Idea *sarcastic* Someone Came Up With

Someone I know works with this dude who is evidently a real jackass. He texted me a little while ago and told me that yesterday this dude told them that he knows how to double $100.
You tear a $100 bill and bring one half to a bank and they will take the half and and replace it with a fresh bill, then you take the other half to another bank.
It doesn't work that way, but this dude evidently swore up and down he has done it several times.
If anyone has any stories of someone who came up with a "bright idea" please share.

People have created counterfeit 100s by cutting 1 corner off of 4 $100 bills and very carefully pasting them on the corners of a $1 bill.
Anyone who looks at it quickly won't realize it. Of course, with the built in technology and counterfeit detection (those pens they draw on the bill with) it's much harder.
