It's not just starting to happen now. People have been doing fricked up stuff like this forever. Just thumb through a history book. I don't disagree with your general premise. I think our society has caused some of those problems, but people were doing fricked up stuff like this long before the internet was a thing. And I don't understand it

You really think this guy killed the mother of his child just because he wanted attention on 4chan?
Dude had his (surely, fricked up) reasons for killing the woman, and simply decided to post it since he knew he was a dead man anyway.

Well no... not exactly... people do and have killed people for a long, long, long time... As Sammy mentioned.. What makes this more fricked up than any of those other murders? The fact it was posted on the internet, right? So why do you think he did that? My guess is for attention. Otherwise this would just be a story in the local paper.

I guess my point is the murder (although sickening) isn't that uncommon or something we would all be discussing at 1:20 in the morning... the fact pics of the deceased where blasted on the internet is the only reason we are even discussing this.
And that part of it was done for attention...

Beaver, it's not even that it might have been his wife and kid. Just that this is even a thing being discussed is depressing as frick.
My parents had to testify while living in Nashvhille because their across the street neighbor snapped and killed his daughters and attempted to kill his wife that ended up escaping. My dad had a bullet hit his car. The guy that killed his daughters was out of jail and the psych wards within eight years.
