everyone going to be fricking obese if they don't open up the gyms soon.
1. Body weight exercises
2. Build home gym
3. Walk or run
4. Stop eating like a fatass.

Those people aren’t obsese for the most part. The fact 25% of death cases are obese is extremely high. That’s pretty much showing you how much of the younger deaths is obese
Makes sense. I'll ask a different question though since you're working on the stat side:
If someone checks into the ER and goes straight to O2 without getting measured/weighed, but they're obviously obese - does that get recorded as such or left out? (I'm assuming the required blood work would pick up the diabetes).

Im 6'2 225. I should probably be 180-190 with my frame. ... I read an article that stated real complications with Corona virus supposedly don't start until you get to the 35+ range and really dramatic at 40+.
You say you should be 180-190, but you are 225.
But you aren't worried because an article says real complications don't start until you are 35+ over and really dramatic at 40+.
225 - 190 = 35. 225 - 180 = 45.
You are 35 to 45 lbs. overweight, so don't take too much comfort in that article.

He is talking about BMI figures.
At 6'2'' someone with a BMI of 35-40 would be between 275-325 lbs.

FWIW - NOLA and NYC fatality rates now converging, no more "7X" differential.
NYC - 1398 deaths in 51807 cases = 2.70%
NOLA - 125 deaths in 3148 cases = 3.97%

That's a relief. Good thing 40% of Americans aren't obese and another 30% overweight.

I'm high risk because of leukemia and am sick of the prophets of doom who get pissed if anyone goes against the "worst case scenario."

Can somebody tell brain dead Governor Edwards to tell the fat fricks to stay home with the old folks and let the rest of us keep the world from going down the god damned toilet. The fat fricks are all on disability sitting in a chair anyway...this is insane.

I made an edit to make it more clear. I was talking BMI. BMI of is "obese". 25-30 is overweight 6'2" 220 is 29 BMI. Not 35 or 40.
FTR BMI of 35 for a 6'2 person is 275 or almost 100 points over what I "could" weigh.
My point was I'm medically "overweight" which isn't obese and is still 5-10 BMI under what starts causing complications with this China Virus.
Fat shaming people 25 pounds overweight because the China virus will kill them is dumb. Unless they are like 4'2 and 25 pounds makes them morbidly obese.
Also the term fat shaming is dumb. People who are ashamed to be fat, aren't fat. So you just make yourself look like a prick.

Some 97% of those killed by COVID-19 in Louisiana had a pre-existing condition, according to the state health department. Diabetes was seen in 40% of the deaths, obesity in 25%, chronic kidney disease in 23% and cardiac problems in 21%.
shutting down the world for that don’t take care of themselves. Over eaters, smokers, fast food lovers, sugar drink addicts are clearly more vulnerable. Take care of your body.

AntonioMoss thinks that “healthy” 3% is what’s stressing the healthcare system.

Bad life choices end up with bad results.
unless someone is born diabetic this could have been preventable.
hopefully when this is all said and done people in the western world start taking healthy living serious again.
Society has gotten soft and lazy.

Get off your high horse and go frick yourself. Wait until a close family member of yours start having issues and then let’s talk about “underlying issues” and how everyone that isn’t overweight is out of the woods.
No, i am not reading 4 pages of this thread. So i apologize if i am repeating someone.
Prom, you need to relax. The way i take the OP is that the numbers stated on the MSM are being used to scare people. To further a political push to slow down/stop the economy. IE. Only specific numbers are being told to make certain political moves.
Not saying anything is right or wrong, just the point being made. He is not down playing any deaths.

Guessing this thread is a bunch of 25 year olds telling a bunch of 45+ year olds how they are fat pieces of shite. Just wait lol.

Obesity % by state. Purple = bad.
But yes, let’s pretend it’s not a big deal for your state simply because of underlying conditions

I love the assumptive leaps people make on this board just because someone doesn't agree with them.
One can point out the seriousness of the virus and its effects, while noting that it clearly has adverse effects for those who are obese.
