A 92-year-old woman shot and killed her 72-year-old son because he wanted to put her in an assisted living facility, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
quote:
"According to statements provided by suspect Blessing and received by the detectives, she had been contemplating for several days her son’s intentions to place her in an assisted living facility," explained a news release from MCSO. "Blessing retrieved two pistols and concealed them in the pockets of her robe then confronted her son in his bedroom."
quote:
As the suspect was being escorted from the residence, she made a spontaneous statement to the effect of 'You took my life, so I'm taking yours,'

She gave him life. It’s only right that she can take it as well.

I tell my parents all the time, 'Keep fricking with me, I'll put you in the bad home'

Should have left the old bitch to rot away or get hit by a car.

Lesson to be learned here. Carry a pistol when you tell your parents you are putting them in a home

That's the problem with old people, you can't kill them, but you can push them down the stairs and call it an accident.

MCSO said she shot her son twice before turning the gun on his 57-year-old girlfriend.
quote:
She told deputies Thomas and Blessing had been living with her in her Fountain Hills home for several months.
In all fairness it sounds like the son wanted her out the way so he could play house with his girlfriend.
Makes you wonder if they mistreated her

So now she’s going to an assisted living facility. Not much else you can do with a 92 year old.

What they going to do? Give her life? Jail is probably better than that home her son was trying to send her to.
