That sat. image looks like the perfect storm of '93 except over the midwest.

Nebraska is under a blizzard or flash flood warning depending on what side of the state.

Very similar, and only slightly weaker.

Oddly enough, this is the 26th anniversary of the 93 superstorm.

Can you imagine how bad the turbulence is for those who are flying today?

Something about that part of texas. A few years ago the wife and I were driving across during february, and I remember the winds being brutal then.

That's near some of T Boone's wind farms.

I've heard they just shut them down when the wind's too high. Is that true?

Or are some of the fan blades launched after structural weaknesses are magnified?

Soooooo all these ugly arse things are put up, and not able to handle high winds?? And it's the future?? One would think they would want high winds, to get some good reserves, but I guess thats just a dumb assumption with all the talk about them replacing fossil fuels.

Sun panels I hope are able to handle the high winds.

Wife flew out to San Francisco yesterday and over that storm. She said it was a bouncy flight and the attendants weren't able to serve anything as they were strapped in the entire flight.

it's flat. Ha. But anyone from north top 3rd of TX up thru kansas/neb, it is windy this time of year. Nothing surprising at all. Loved the storm that came thru last night other than I didnt hear enough booms, and flashes. Love that shite. Ha.

I hate the hail. Only thing I cant acct for. Like saturday or sunday morning when it started to hail in the 6am hour.

In 2016, I drove from La to Oregon. Through Wyoming, Idaho and such. There was one stretch on I70 I think that had warnings of nothing allowed over car height, because of high winds. They were right!
It was very surreal. The winds blew our car side to side. It was like another planet. Never again

That low went through a rapid intensification down to 969mb

It’s basically a category 2 land hurricane of sorts

Even sort of has an eye wall wtf

Yea those big wind turbines shut down automatically if the wind gets too high. Usually when the wind is gusting 40 ish mph you’ll see all of them turned off.
