The Caribbean Plate has some pretty major earthquakes… Haiti for one

I bet it was felt all over the Caribbean. Jamaica, Roatan, Yucatan, Cuba, etc.

Hope the Ritz and Westin on 7 mile beach are okay. My butler won’t have a place to vacation if they’re damaged.

This type of plate boundary is not the kind that makes tsunamis. It’s kinda like two plates that move horizontally by each other. The tsunami making ones are vertically aligned.

I just read somewhere on X that it was a shallow earthquake?

It said the tsumami warnings are real, but a low chance of being devastating type of waves.

hopefully that is accurate.

huge huge difference between 7.6 and 8.0.

8.0 is 400 times stronger than a 7.6.
