No new model of jet has recorded two fatal accidents in its first year, until the Boeing 737 MAX-8
Neither has the 737 MAX
quote:
The first delivery was a MAX 8 on May 6, 2017 to Malindo Air,[9] which placed the aircraft into service on May 22, 2017.

The majority of air accidents are ruled pilot error.
Unfortunately, the hundreds of accidents well trained pilots prevent every week never make the front page.

I hope there aren't hundreds of prevented accidents weekly.

especially if the plane is in mid-air flight and not attempting a landing.
TWA 800 come to mind. I can’t imagine how terrifying that had to have been

Considering the vast number of flights daily, a couple hundred a week is a small portion.

I have a fear of plane crashes and I’ve never even flown on a plane. Not from being too scared, just never had to fly in a plane in my life. Yeah I know I’m in a very small minority of people but I’m not a hillbilly that never leaves Louisiana either. Just haven’t been anywhere that a plane ride was required.

There's a video on YouTube showing an Ethiopian 788 on a delivery flight landing at Dulles. The Ethiopian CA botched the landing, CAVOK WX, and a Boeing delivery pilot yelling at him. Eye opening.
Your link isn’t working

A plane crash is probably my number one irrational fear
If it's 737 Max, it isn't so irrational...
or if you are flying Malaysian airlines.

Glad Delta doesn't have any MAXs. I'll stick to the -800 and -900ER

Going to jump out on a limb here and say they need to ground this aircraft until the issue is resolved.
We keep many of these planes in the air for far too long.

Anybody else thinking a malfunction similar to Lion Air? Surely Boeing would have taken care of this.
It was taken care of in the form of a fleet bulletin warning of the potential problem and how to address it. This is in addition to the mcas training.
Any 737Max pilot that does not understand the procedure should not be flying.

Lol, this is total BS if they are using mostly Ethiopian pilots, crew, and ground crew.
I’d like how you define ‘better’?
I can assure you business class was better than US carrier business class.
I've read economy class can be pretty wild though, but that's true for any economy class heading to a relatively poor destination.

At least 7 people that have never accepted an aircraft from a manufacturer

Does Southwest have them?

I find this astounding, and I pity people like you. However, I suspect you’re happy in life, and have carved out a little piece of your own paradise.
There is a great big world out there. Throw a dart at a map, get on a plane and fly to wherever the dart lands. You won’t regret it.

This airplane was delivered to Ethiopian Airlines on November of 2018.
