A seven-year-old boy who reviews toys has been revealed as YouTube's highest-earning star, raking in $22m (£17.3m).

The estimate by Forbes magazine found that Ryan of Ryan ToysReview pipped Jake Paul by $500,000 for the 12 months to June. Videos are posted most days and one promoting a blue giant mystery egg bearing Ryan's face has had more than a million views since Sunday.

The Dude Perfect channel was in third place, making $20m, Forbes said.

Ryan's earnings, which do not include tax or fees charged by agents or lawyers, have doubled compared with the previous year. ADVE

Yeah they're still doing really well. Hell of a run for some college dudes that made a trick shot video in their back yard to keep from studying

My 5 year old is probably responsible for at least 1 million of that.

Count my niece in those earnings. She loves to watch Ryan’s Toy Review.

I think my life took a wrong turn somewhere.

I am not sure which toy reviews my kids watched but it is mostly the weird arse parents running the review while acting like it is the kids. Most are creepy as hell. I deleted my kids youtube apps because all they seemed to watch was adults playing with toys (while their kids were in the videos).

YouTube Kids is crap and now that I know they are making this kind of money off of our kids it makes it even worse.

I don’t think they do trick shot videos anymore. At least, they haven’t in a wile. They came out with mini series called “overtime” catered to kids. My nephew likes them. They also partnered with Nickelodeon for a show.

I watch it every so often. Rarely watch the trick shot stuff anymore. They've expanded into essentially a variety show now.

Ehh, umm, and adults.

My 4 year used to watch Ryan, but luckily he quit that. Now he only watches a kid named Bubba who plays with trains.

I don’t mind that one since the parents don’t ever let you see his face, so the aren’t really trying to make him famous, just letting him play with trains
