The bureaucracy that has infested the nation’s public schools with administrators hell bent on changing everything in the name of societal justice and new teaching coupled with the complete lack of disciplinary actions by said administrators and parents are killing public education.

This is probably true. More fundamentally, subsidized housing is killing public schools. Dispersing all the trash to places they wouldn’t be if not for government subsidies. There’s a certain segment of society that’ll just always turn it’s own schools to shite.

Your taxes also pay for them to live in your vicinity. Then when you move to a suburb specifically to get away from them, your taxes pay for them to follow you when a new apartment complex is built.

Even elected black officials react with violence when they don’t like what they hear.

Just saw one of the videos, a wig comes off lol

Sad that teachers not only have to be educators, but zoo keepers.

My kids go to public school where I live. There are 900+ students in their middle school, only 8 are Dutch, and of those only 3 have parents who are Dutch. The other Dutch kids are adopted.

It makes a hell of a difference.

Dutchtown has the largest enrollment in the state. I’m sure most schools with an enrollment the size of a small town it’s more common than not to have fights daily.

Accountability causes a lot of issues. Systems will do whatever they need to in order to earn high scores. It’s not about the kids, it’s about high scores. It’s not just AP.

There's so much stuff that happens at Dutchtown that you never hear about: overdoses, etc. On top of that, if a kid isn't strong academically they'll do everything they can to get rid of him/her so that their test scores won't be negatively impacted. The AP schools aren't all they're cracked up to be... shady AF.

Elaborate please. This reads like a Facebook mom post. How do you “get rid of” a public school kid who doesn’t have good grades?

God I hated having to break up girl fights when I was a teacher/coach!
It like try to wrestle a bag of cats!

Boys fight like Mike Tyson or Connor McGregor and there is space enough to get between them to break them up, but girls are totally entangled with hair pulling and nail scratching and once they get started they are really hard to calm down.

So the students fighting are the intellectual scholars? Impressive.

It’s not just AP. it is about the kids - attracting them high scores attract kids which bring more federal dollars nevermind that many of these kids think a school can fix their lack of parenting

Is 10 fights an actual rule Sounds like a rumor we would’ve spread “hey man I heard if there is 10 fights they’ll shut school down and let us leave”. Its got to be 10 though, 9 ain’t cutting it

At our local highschool I think the rule is three or four fights before a shutdown... schools absolutely have rules like these.

Ascension Parish schools you say?

Tell me more about Donaldsonville High. How many students are "they" getting "rid of" so the test scores will be higher?
