In an experiment to combat racial economic inequality

Pointless experiment as proof of concept, because it's actually creating inequality amongst the poor, unless you give it to everyone in a particular location. And if done that way (as with covid stimulus payments), it just raises the floor for the prices at the low end of any given market.

There's a reason that apartment complexes won't advertise rents lower than the local amount that Section 8 offers.

Anyone who's done the classroom experiment where you give the kids money and create an artificial market, knows that starting with equal amounts of money across the board just triggers bidding wars and hyperinflation.

Repeating with slight inequality of starting cash across the board allows efficient allocation of resources for everyone without having to battle to differentiate themselves among "equals".

Whether that's considered fair or not, libs should love it for being best overall for the group and buyers market, despite it resulting in "inequality" and some individuals on the losing end of what they can afford.

But they'll hand out some cash and claim some improvement in qol, and try to use that to justify UBI.

You know who doesn't have to work two to three jobs?

People with educational achievement, qualifications, certifications... etc..

Put that money towards scholarships in education or job certifications.

The vast majority of individuals in two parent homes?

ETA: For both the parents in the present and as a strong indicator for their kids in the future.

I don't see any hope for "those people" they're into multiple generations of being brainwashed to think that they've been oppressed by whites, all of their problems are because of whites, and that they shouldn't have to work because the white people owe them a lifetime of reparation

This whole idea seems about as pointless and with a predetermined outcome as this social experiment was:

BBC

quote:

Giving jobless people in Finland a basic income for two years did not lead them to find work, researchers said. From January 2017 until December 2018, 2,000 unemployed Finns got a monthly flat payment of €560 (£490; $634). The aim was to see if a guaranteed safety net would help people find jobs, and support them if they had to take insecure gig economy work. While employment levels did not improve, participants said they felt happier and less stressed.

quote:

So, did it work? That depends what you mean by 'work'. Did it help unemployed people in Finland find jobs, as the centre-right Finnish government had hoped? No, not really. Mr Simanainen says that while some individuals found work, they were no more likely to do so than a control group of people who weren't given the money. They are still trying to work out exactly why this is, for the final report that will be published in 2020.

I'm all for this a long as it doesn't come from my taxes

Soros types fund it as an investment, so that politicians can point to it as an excuse for providing it to everyone.

And that's where it comes out of your tax dollars. Enough to offset the UBI payment they give you, plus enough to fund everyone not paying taxes.

Didn't include the race because the results will be the same. Give them an extra $850 per month, they'll spend an extra $1k.

They can give me 1/10 of it, and I can give them results that I guarantee are 95% accurate.

Good point. If I'm working the fry machine at McDonald's making about $1000 a month, you really think I'm gonna be content with that knowing Shawanda from down the street is getting basically the same amount just sitting on her arse?
