Kroger is 79c for a green pepper. Not sure what that equates to per pound. Fiesta has them for .59 if I want to go to he Hispanic store.

you are looking at $2 to 2.75 per pepper.

It is in my memory bank that red bell peppers were $1.99/pound not too long ago. Green was like $.79/pound.

I get covid, inflation, Iran, yada yada yada. But the prices overall are getting ridiculous. We shouldn’t just be talking bell peppers here.

I’ll never understand it. Groceries are as high as hell right now. Spent 345 bucks this morning for a most entirely staples.

And my peppers were .79 cents per

Soylent Green is on sale at Costco. They have both Big Urban Momma and Nurse Karen flavors last time I was there. Price wise, it works out to half as much as those green peppers.

I don’t ever remember paying for them by the pound.

If I need bell peppers out of season, I just buy the frozen chopped tri-color mix. I think it's around $2 a pound.

I despise bell pepper. Wouldn’t pay 25 cents for it.

HEB has them for .79 each for green and $1.48 each for red/yellow, or a three pack of colored for $3.68.

I grew up where the grocery store options were Jitney Jungle or a Chinese owned shop where they’d sell beer to a 10 year old but the meat choices weee questionable at best

You don't have anyone who grows them and gives you some? That's high as eagle pussy.

You're on to something here, however, it's already too late, there is already a lot of animal byproducts in our food, for example, gelatin and Cochineal.
