Holy Orders requires the exact same thing. For a priest, nothing can be held back from the Church. Allowing married priests means that the vows of matrimony or the vows of ordination will not be fully lived

Maintaining this mindset will assure that the pool of men who would want to become a priest will continue to be populated with only gays, pedophiles, and social deviates.

The point is a normal dude who likes his wee wee inside an adult-aged vagina can be a priest. Over time the perverts will lose their built in harbor.

Why are these alleged abuses all from 50-60+ years ago?

They aren’t all that old. The priest I know on the list was molesting a kid between 1980 and 1985 - 33 to 38 years ago. I don’t believe the kid went public until the early 2000s when he was over 30. Which brings up the next point: Many victims don’t come forward for many, many years.

Or why our priest has talked about this horrible abuse of power at least five times in church this year and both he and the Archbishop have sent many communications out about

Talked. Sent communications.

Kids are getting raped. That’s not good enough.

It's mind boggling how this isn't a bigger story

Nobody in South LA wants to believe Priests rape children. They'd rather hide it to protect their beloved church and let more children get hurt

Almost all of these were 50-60 years ago. People in the south get tired of hearing about Civil War stuff when race relations are infinitely better than in many of the sophisticated northern cities.

So your implying that sexual abuse in the church no longer exists?

How so? Explain in your own words. Don't just say "the Vatican says so". Do you honestly think that a Priest couldn't be just as close to God with a wife and family? And by the way, when you get married you become one with your wife under God.

At this point, I think Catholics should be more shocked if their priest aren't on these list.

Hey dumbass its about 2.5% of all priests during that time period but you are going to convict a 100%. Those numbers are probably better than most professions that deal with authority of teenagers and young adults.

Its laughable that protestants don't think their own preachers/ missions aren't involved in pedo/ gay activity.
