Universities you say? The same University research programs who receive 40% or more of their funding from Private Industry donations?

Well I would love to see links for that.

OK smart arse.

... And don't ask me to do your research for you again. If you're too lazy to do it yourself then you're not worth arguing with. If you were being genuine in your query then I apologize for my harsh words. I've noticed that as I've gotten older I have less and less patience for mouthy retards.

You do realize that the time you get the flu shot.....is during respiratory season?

So did it cross your mind that maybe, just maybe....the shot didn’t make you sick. That you just got sick at a time of year when many others also get sick with numerous other respiratory illnesses that are NOT the flu?

But that would mean using basic common sense wouldn’t it?

You will question everything but a shot that has been proven to be not only be useless but toxic? It has been proven harmful to infants and elderly but it will be good for everything in between?....ha.

What would common sense say about this?

You know what Nurse, I think I asked my Dr about the shingles vaccine.

Maybe he said I didn’t need it since I never had chicken pox?

I’ll follow up and ask again at next physical.

Lol. I didn’t read all of your post.

If I had I would’ve realized you were one of THOSE people.

Go be a weirdo somewhere else

Do you actually care to engage in debate on this topic? I guess since you self-admittedly don't like to read, that should tell me all I need to know.

Well now I have to do a 180. I grew up pre-Chicken pox vaccine days, and never had the chicken pox.

I asked a Dr about getting the vaccine as an adult and he told me it was unnecessary as I was most likely immune.

Lucky bastard. I got the pox around 6 and as a result, I was fortunate to have a shingle outbreak this summer. I have a daggum scar on my forehead from it. My sister had an outbreak at the same time and we had the chicken pox at the same time. How weird is that?

Keep in mind the doctors and nurses directing you to get vaccines are not immunologists nor virus experts. They only know what they are told and do not spend time researching all sides of an issue like this.

Do your own research on the topic. Doctors are too busy treating people to do the proper research.

Get singles vaxx >60 years old whether or not you had chickenpox as a kid. It can prevent further reoccurrences.

Flu shot isn't just about keeping you from getting the flu. Its about preventing immunocompromised individuals in a hospital who are 1)more susceptible to infection 2)more susceptible to serious complications.

What about the CDC directing people to get flu shots? Any Immunologists or virus experts there?

And we have plenty where I work, and they require us to get flu shots.

I can remember my mom sending me over to play with kids that had chicken pox in the summertime. Lots of parents did it since Chicken pox were pretty much inevitable back then.

My mom wanted me to have them in summer so as not to miss school.

Just like an employer can make the flu shot a presequisite for continued employment.

Touro doesn't make it mandatory we take them, but if we don't, we have to walk around the hospital with a mask on for the entire flu season...

I take it because I have kids in grammar school. I catch more shite from them than I do patients at work...

Why, yes. There are experts there that have been busted burying data and falsifying studies when it comes to vaccines.

The CDC should be your first place to look to for quality information.

and I beg you...please look into the ingredients of a flu shot. research adjuvents. Don't blindly trust anyone on this subject. People need to get informed before letting someone inject a foreign substance into the body.

Chickenpox parties aren't recommended anymore. Now you just get the vaccine for it. I got the chickenpox and still have a scar from it.

all the efficacy studies do not hold up to review. The evidence supporting the flu shot effectiveness is non-existent.

You must not work at the Montisory school that one fella made rewrite their admission policies because of some state law that prevents a business from requiring immunizations.

What are your qualifications and please direct me to the evidence which supports your theory. I'm more than happy to take a look.

Sure I'll take the shot but what happens when I call out sick because it makes me feel like crap?
