It's true the are targeted trucks because they think the baw that owns the truck has a gun in there...but they are also busting windows of just about every other type of car out there just for the frick of it

Maybe. My brother might have just gotten lucky. Two cars parked right next to him were smashed, but his Camry was left alone

If the above was legal and well publicized, not only would car burglaries cease, odds are no one would actually be shot. At least not after the first such incident.

Extra .02: City cameras are only used to catch “criminals” who can pay traffic fines.
Door cams are useless if laws have no consequences.

Bait them by leaving something in plain view and have a clean throw down. It’s been done before....js.

The best punishment for these kids would be, once they catch these people, they send them a bill for every person's window cost that they smashed and failure to pay the bill on time would result in jail time.

frick all that. Bullet in a knee cap. I'll pay for my own window

Shocker because normally they go after the high dollar vehicles first.

Yep but you know what they always say.
"A car isn't worth taking a human life."\

Of course they conveniently forget that car jackers and other robbers will gladly take YOUR life.
If some thug is breaking into ones property, their rights are forfeited the minute they chose to commit that crime.

He was actually looking for his midnight basketball coach’s car to leave a gift for him. This is all a big misunderstanding.

Someone posted a video on NextDoor of three black teens looking into car windows at 4AM in an apartment complex and some dipshit liberal got in there and said they were probably just looking for their car, despite the fact that they were wearing gloves, their faces were covered, and they were looking in a wide variety of vehicles. I would hope they know that a Dodge Ram and a Honda Accord do not look alike.

Yeah, well, they didn't know that and there is nothing more attractive to steal that a purse. Stupid bitch.

this is right on the corner from where i lived a few years back. pretty crazy...

they're definitely looking for guns and quick change. had my window smashed and they left my sunglasses and fancy HP calculator. its pretty sad but leaving your doors unlocked is the best approach. not worth the time or money to get a broken window replaced.

I wish people would just start shooting these fricks on sight. Only way to put a stop to this is exterminate the vermin.

They want guns, Cash, prescription drugs, wallets, purses. They leave behind radar detectors iPods iPhones laptops all other type of valuables they leave behind I see it every morning people posting that their cars got rummage through but nothing was ever taken. I happen to me once they stole my gun, I never kept another one in my truck got broken into again. They went through my console had a shite load of changes, coins went through my glove box didn’t steal a thing. Had a $400 Valentine one radar detector hanging from the visor didn’t take it.

They are definitely looking for certain things they are just taking whatever they can get their hands on

What was stolen?
I now leave nothing visible in my car. Not even usb cable
A work camera that is typically brought inside every night. They left the Costas hanging on the rearview mirror. Police said they're not urban enough, direct quote. They look for money, guns, electronics, and designer bags.

ps- I hate the police sentiment that there "nothing we can do". So what if they're teens, don't we still have juvenile detention centers? What the cop really means is that the city won't let them do their job because NOLA is a sanctuary city.
