If it’s the 5 Points South fountain, don’t be surprised since it’s an alter to Baphomet, but y’all ain’t ready to talk about that.

Seems like it's the same story over and over with most decent sized cities in the South.

It certainly appears as though there is a cultural problem in the black community

Bham is 70% black. ( Nola is 54%.)

The overwhelming number of murders and assaults in bham is carried out by black males. Same in Nola.

I watched cnn, msnbc and yahoo front page and nothing. The mainstream media isn’t covering this. These are left leaning media sources. Clearly they don’t care about black lives. Blacks will continue voting for liberal candidates that continue to make sure this issue remains buried.

It's been this way for decades in places like Birmingham, BR, Nola, Memphis etc. The only thing we can do is go scorched earth on violent criminals. We seem to be trending in the opposite direction though.

Is this a situation where they shoot everyone except for the people they intended to shoot?

If I were going to be a "gangster" and there might be times when I will have to go take someone out for whatever reason, I would make a point to learn how to shoot. Increase my chances of getting the person I am going after. Go to the gun range from time to time. Hell, you can even find a video on youtube that shows you have to shoot pretty much any gun. I'd check that out, then go to the gun range. I'd want to be the best possible gangster I could be.

These dudes... will see someone they are after in a crowd of people and try to hit them while riding in a car or just aiming in the general area of where that person is. They need to learn from the Russians and find ways to poison the people they want dead. Pass by and inject them with something. Poison them with novichok nerve agent. Something like that, it would also be harder to trace who did it.

Incorrect. The notion that it’s even remotely a consistent equal mix across the Democrat spectrum committing these crimes is nonsense.

It’s blacks. It’s almost entirely black males under 40.

I was referring to the people running the city. Think we are talking two different things

I'm typically one of the first to point out this hypocrisy, but Reddit is the barometer here. It's on their front page.

Because it’s framed as a gun problem. Their entire comment section (on multiple subreddits) is about America’s gun problem. Anyone who slightly “dog whistles” that we have a Black culture problem is downvoted to oblivion or banned.

Speaking of:

Woodfin says Birmingham mass shooting part of an ‘American crisis,’ calls for Alabama leaders to act

Now granted he’s talking about banning Glock switches and assault rifles, but it’s never a “the behaviors associated with Hush and similar lounges” problem.

Oh dear, I guess we better hold a march/day of prayer/barbecue/gospel concert. Someone get Leroy to fire up the screen printer for the t-shirts.

Eventually this will solve the problem. It has to work one time, right?

Long since been that way. Total credit to citizens of Homewood, Mtn. Brook, etc for having the vision in the 60s and 70s to incorporate and have its own PD that responds immediately to urban riff raff.

Homewood, Mtn Brook, Vestavia, etc. were incorporated cities long before the 60's and 70's. Hoover was unincorporated Jefferson County during that time.

You might be confusing the political effort in the late 60's early 70's to merge those cities into Birmingham so the city could be like Atlanta. Fortunately, those governments said thanks, but (hell) no.

I'm admittedly ignorant on these topics. Are these 'switches" bought online? How do they work?

They can talk about glock switches all day long but that’s not the real problem

Do they make it easier to kill more people quickly? Yeah. They do.

But they aren’t the cause of the shooting. Inability to be civilized is causing the shooting. The belief that the only way to handle a discrepancy is through violence is causing the problem.

Eradicate the Glock switch and they’ll use something else.

The place was never really that safe. The media often didn’t report violent crime in the area. I was there back when Johnny Rockets was still an empty lot. The amount of crime hasn’t changed just the reporting.

Here is a write up on the guy who got shot who is a friend of a friend. He mentions that the shooter sprayed everyone in line not just those at the front door.

When the other Democrats ignore, cover up and embolden the problem they are part of the problem. It doesn't matter if they are doing the deed or not. They support those who do.

Woodfin has sent Bham down the crapper with his 99 Cities crap and blaming white people for everything.

My money would be on the shooters being from Bessemer. Glad that guy made it.

They don’t report it because it runs counter to the Democrat Party narrative and all the media outlets you mentioned operate as the propaganda apparatus of the Democrat Party.
