nobody in the south gives a frick about the state of our prisons
I have friends and family who are like, "oh, you don't want to starve to death or be brutally raped or beaten daily, or have to join a nazi gang to survive? well sorry you should've thought of that before you stole a flat screen tv from walmart."
there is no humanity in these places. probably because of the poor quality of the learning institutions

You have a pretty amazing life if you are bothered by things like this instead of real world stuff. You are not wrong, though.

Parchman may not be the most violent institution in Mississippi LINK

Parchment is definitely rough. The country boys in Mississippi still gangbang. The people from the cities usually stick together no matter the gang however. But you have neighborhood/city wars and gang wars in Mississippi penitentiaries.

Should we have some prisons that are setup like Central American prisons and just lock them all inside a huge fortress and let them police themselves?
Just put the worst of the worst in there. Air drop supplies in from helicopters.

2 inmates have just escaped from Parchman

Theoretically yes. More accurately, they aren't showing up on a count. Which is hard to take during a full blow riot. I mean, they might have been consumed in the BBQ pits or something.

You have good people around you, listen to them.

I don’t get the whole concept of prison rape/sex.
If I was never going to get pussy again, I’d be much happier jerking myself off for the rest of my life rather than banging or getting blown by a dude.
Even if it’s some type of act of power/dominance, I still don’t see the appeal.

This thread makes me wonder how a certain former judge is making out.

Ah, a punk to rape. Got it.
Rape is doubtful. They have plenty of willing punks already.

I wonder if that Ole Miss punk kid who killed his pregnant girlfriend will end up at Parchman. The brothers will love his rich white arse. His pops better be saving his pennies to put on every inmates books.
Thankfully I know nothing about which prison is the worst, but I suspect ones in the south are all hell on earth.

The ones in Louisiana, including Angola, are not bad at all anymore. You can actually write up a guard and have their pay suspended. Inmates have more power since the Angola riots. You have to give them a life so they don’t kill you. A little bit of give and take. Although, guards still get away with murder sometimes. Like the old man at Dixon Correctional a few years back.

On the news yesterday they said supplies were low and they had been out of toilet paper a week ago, that is the kind of things that will start riots

$1500 will get you an iPhone in prison here. Drugs are rampant. I know one dude who got out last year and went straight to treatment instead of home. Got hooked on drugs in prison.
