Yep, again, proof that black lives really don't matter. For if they did, then wouldn't those behind the BLM movement be up in arms over this? I mean, it's almost a daily occurrence here.

Not sure what this means. SWB is the first SJW mayor this parish has had. The only thing that kept her from losing the last election was around 3,000 votes. You had about 15,000 white people vote for Broome...You do the math.
Crime was on a downward trajectory until the protests and the current increase in shootings will almost certainly be attributed to Broome exclusively. As clueless as she appears to be sometimes I can't imagine she will be able to stay silent and downplay what appears to be a significant problem on her watch. Throw in the redirecting of BRAVE funding, CAO bungle and the resignation of a popular police chief.
If another, more centrist, mayoral candidate emerges she could be in real political trouble as I doubt she will be MORE popular to those 15,000 white voters.

Not sure if you are being facetious, but there will be no St George PD. The leaders of that movement have always said they will continue to use EBR Sheriff as their primary law enforcement apparatus.
Also, there are federal laws that prohibit a "crackdown" without proof, evidence, etc. Unfortunately citizens and law enforcement have to jump through so many legal hoops to rectify obvious issues that it usually isn't worth the pain. All you can do really is hope to contain it because neither political party has the will to call out a certain segment of the population.
