If my idiot school does this as well, i was going to tell my 5th grader he's more than welcome to refuse to wear a mask if he wants, and i dont' care what happens to him.

Is the lab school a private school? If so, follow the rules or leave. It's not being a hero making your 4th grader get suspended. Kids shouldn't fight the battle for adults. The adult should have fought the battle by not sending his kid to school.

At what point are people going to stop with this shite and demand these administrators stop with the charade? Is it going to have to wait until the MidTerm elections and the Democrats lose power? Is that really what this is all about or are people just so afraid to go against the grain they won't "nut up"?

Yes it is. I can go look at that video right now. Anyway it is a dumb arse policy to say kids are in danger if they don’t wear a masks to school when 12 hours prior they are in a building that holds 10 k and no one with a masks on. Masks don’t work. It’s dumb and you know it.

All rules are not created equal. Especially these stupid mask mandates that accomplish nothing except stunting the social development of children. The administration has zero teeth if the parents refuse to comply.
