Well, we've previously determined that eugenics programs are "bad". So that pretty much rules out your suggestion.

They want perfect food on a $1 menu with a delivery driver that brings it free. Today in America.

I do extensive research on GMOs as part of my job and I’m of the opinion they are beneficial with no ill effects. But naive consumers who are anti-GMO present a great market opportunity.

Most people don’t realize that crops are genetically engineered primarily to be pesticide resistant. They think it’s to make them bigger.

Until some true safety tests are done.....the truth will be unknown. Why risk it if you don't have to?

Just label it clearly and let the public decide whether they want to test it. Very few are calling for a ban of GMO, they just want to know where it is so they can avoid it.

Everyone should be happy with that.

It's one thing to be skeptical but to say it's harmful is dumb, unless you can show a theoretical mechanism for how it damages people's health, or a correlation between GMO consumption and negative outcomes.

It is also silly to assume it is completely safe. Food directly impacts many facets of the body and can alter DNA. How about more testing, less assuming?

Point being, there's no such thing as a true "heirloom" crop due to nature and about 4.5 billion years.

The concerns generally lie with gene spliced GMO, not cross breading or other more natural forms of modification because those still adhere and are filtered by natural processes.

False. glyphosate is a huge reason people don't like GMOs. glyphosate shouldn't be anywhere near food. It toxifies everything remotely close to it.

A more interesting question would be "what % of the people polled actually know what the acronym GMO stands for?"

This reminds me of a segment on the Jimmy Kimmel Show a few years back (before he turned into a complete pussy) where they went around LA asking people if they knew what gluten was? All the bozos they asked had gluten-free diets, but that had no idea what gluten actually was. They just knew gluten = bad because someone or some marketing campaign told them it was.

LINK

That's what this poll reflects. A bunch of gullible morons who don't know what GMO means, but heard someone say it's "bad"

My fiancée has a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular pathology, she says this is bullshite.

Herbicide is a pesticide.

BTW, almost all of our food now is GMO.

Rabbis do not include modified DNA foods in kosher.

Go ahead and gamble.

No, herbicide kills plants and pesticide kills animals. They are different.

No, herbicides are a subset of pesticides. Google it.

GMOs aren't bad by themselves. What is bad is crops that are resistant to pesticides that kill bacteria.

Then they spray the crops with those pesticides which end up fricking up the good bacteria in our digestive systems.

There are more bacteria cells in our body than human cells and the vast majority are beneficial. Killing all bacteria on the food may increase yield and decrease spoilage rates but I also believe it wreaks havoc on our digestive systems.

Most people are fine with being ignorant as to what they put into their bodies and of course want to pay as little as possible for their food. Just eating a bunch of garbage. Will it kill you any sooner? Who knows. But eating chickens that grow to mature size half as fast as they did 20 yrs ago should probably raise an eyebrow.
