I’m rubber and you’re glue so whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.

Let me guess... with more midnight basketball? Maybe a mural? There damned sure won't be a march or demonstration.

You have to be willing to at least publicly acknowledge what the problem is in order to fix it or even "honor this child's life".

Believe it or not, BR was a nice place to raise a family until about the early/mid 90s.

School desegregation order in the mid/late 80s pushed much of the middle class to the burbs or out of state. Once decent neighborhoods became shitty and dangerous and productive citizens started fleeing.

It's still spreading 30+ years later. The nice areas shrink and the shitty areas grow. LA's crappy white collar job market doesn't help.

My girlfriend in HS lived near where this shooting occurred. I would have never considered that a dangerous area in 1993. It's mostly trash now though.

The community needs to hold themselves and their members accountable. This story is so damn sad, it makes me sick

What's sad is that Jacob Blake has a gofundme that at one point had over $200k because the media decided to take that story and twist it up..

This story will be forgotten tomorrow.

Nope, despite there being 40+ witnesses. I guarantee you that multiple people at that party knew the shooter.
